I love to use both sides of my brain. It works out perfectly because my world is where business intersects with creative – I connect the dots and collaborate with both sides.
Recently I've been working on brands of my own and the ultimate goal is to keep that list growing.
Previously I was contracted by creative ad agencies in Los Angeles working with sport and lifestyle brands – filling the shoes of Brand Directors and at times doubling as a Producer.
I'm originally from The Bay Area where my family still throws amazing house parties. I almost attended design school but none of them had a soccer team. I chose to play at UC Davis, where of course, ended up not playing but instead took some design classes along the way. That lead me to the business side of creative advertising.
Los Angeles has been my home for over a decade, spending most of my career at 180 and Zambezi with a stint working in Shanghai. In China I learned I'm what you call an "ABC" – American Born Chinese. I'm proud of that and the fact both of my grandfathers fought in WWII for the US Army. Ironically I also have a sliver of Japanese in me.
When I was 10 years old my parents sent me on a solo trip to Tokyo. Ever since, I've been adventure driven, seeking out different experiences and subcultures. Over the years I've been extremely fortunate and have traveled to 22 different countries.
On the daily you'll find me taking advantage of the surf and snow, practicing taijiquan, obsessing over music and food, and surrounding myself with a beautiful wife from Bangkok and a long-haired chihuahua named Tom Ford.
